🔎
context

Refuge of Hope is a Christian nonprofit in Canton, Ohio serving people in need. They are the only dedicated men’s shelter in the county, and they needed a website that communicated what they offer—practical care with humanity and dignity.

approach

This site offered a unique challenge because it had to serve 3 audiences: donors, volunteers, and those in need.

I kept the UI apprachable and human, with warm colors and hand-drawn illustrations. Color-coded UX pathways help each audience find what they need.

A business like this is by humans and for humans — it needs to feel human. I drew a suite of imperfect rough icons for use throughout the website.
📈
outcome

The finished site gave Refuge of Hope a more personal and navigable digital presence. It reflects the dignity of those they serve while making the ministry easier to engage with and support.
